Don’t Look Up 2021 Movie – Storyline :
Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence), an astronomy grad student, and her professor Dr. Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) make an astounding discovery of a comet orbiting within the solar system. The problem – it’s on a direct collision course with Earth. The other problem? No one really seems to care. Turns out warning mankind about a planet-killer the size of Mount Everest is an inconvenient fact to navigate. With the help of Dr. Oglethorpe (Rob Morgan), Kate and Randall embark on a media tour that takes them from the office of an indifferent President Orlean (Meryl Streep) and her sycophantic son and Chief of Staff, Jason (Jonah Hill), to the airwaves of The Daily Rip, an upbeat morning show hosted by Brie (Cate Blanchett) and Jack (Tyler Perry). With only six months until the comet makes impact, managing the 24-hour news cycle and gaining the attention of the social media obsessed public before it’s too late proves shockingly comical – what will it take to get the world to just look up?.
Review of Don’t Look Up 2021 Netflix Movie:
Netflix’s Don’t Look Up featured a rich amount of talented actors. Belong to the category I like to call “shameless satire,” don’t be surprised if you feel your blood flowing faster or your heart beating faster. These kind of movies mainly serves to make the clear clearer, and also make angry people angrier. For 2 hours I had this urge to throw my sandals at the screen, especially whenever Jonah Hills talks. Not that he’s the problem, but his character, like other “Republican” and filthy rich characters, just pissed you off. But of course that’s the intention and Adam McKay and the cast did a wonderful job.
However, I question myself, what’s the point of this movie? Why do I want to piss myself off? I could just watch the news for the same effects. This movie is like a Comedy Central Celebrity Roast Show, but the celebs are the filthy rich people. The Trump administration watching this is gonna be like “haha that’s so funny.”
